Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can get your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no specific stipulations on who can register a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
